Content Management Systems are a great thing for the average user who needs to create a website or edit one that has already been created. At the same time they can be bad because it allows people who do not know the best ways to create websites to build a site that only works part of the time and looks horrible everywhere except for in one browser.
I would like to take a line from the movie Spider-Man to describe my feelings about CMS's.
"With great power comes great responsibility"
There are some great CMS's out there and there are some not so perfect ones. I want to help my fellow web designers and developers to get the most out of their CMS's when it comes to functionality, standards and just plain good looks. On the right I have a list of CMS's that I have used. Not all perfect, but just CMS's that I have experience with.
I also look forward to your input in the near future. I will be providing an email and forum for you to provide your comments, opinions and or helpful hints. I also look forward to finding the best CMS's out there. I don't have time to try them all, so I am going to rely on your help. Together we have enough time.
Please stay tuned for more...
Okay there are hundreds of CMS's out there, but I have only worked with a handful. Below are the CMS's that I have experience with and that I would like to support on this site.
This is not a CMS , but I have enjoyed using the below method and would love to include it in CornerPixel's guides.
